Please join us in welcoming our newest member of the Crush team, Bea, who is coming onboard as a Copywriter.
Creating strong messaging that evokes emotion, inspires action, and drives conversions for our clients is an essential part of our business here at Crush. Bea joins us not only with a background in writing, content creation and social media management, but also with a keen appetite to learn more about the agency-side of creative marketing and design – but we’re sure she can tell you more on that…
Over to Bea…
“Hi, I’m Bea, the new Copywriter at Crush. I’m really excited to be joining this team, and already it feels so different to my previous role!
I previously worked as Marketing Assistant at the national home care company, Home Instead. In this role, I enjoyed writing empowering and eye-opening stories from the health and social care sector; an industry that is often overlooked and undermined. In optimising these stories via SEO and PR efforts, my role was very much centered around changing perceptions of social care whilst simultaneously driving recruitment growth. To further support this, I also managed the company’s social media presence via LinkedIn blogs and newsletters, creative Instagram content and interactive, community-led Facebook posts.
It’s in this Marketing Assistant role that I really became interested in continuing to work within the marketing industry, it simply has so much to offer. After almost two years in the role, I felt the need to move on and take on my next challenge. I knew that I wanted my next role to be in a marketing agency, as I knew it would be a slightly faster paced environment, and that it could also enable me to work for lots of different brands and their subsequent industries. At Crush, my copywriting role will open me up to learn more about effective SEO optimisation techniques, such as keyword research, as well as enabling me to see how businesses create impactful brand identities through tone of voice, design and strategy.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always enjoyed English, whether it be casual reading or studying a text, I just get so invested. I think it’s for this reason that it was my favourite A-level subject, shortly followed by Product Design, which enabled me to be creative, as well as typically ‘academic’. I also studied French, so it’s a real mix! I credit this variety of strengths to the reason why I now work in marketing; a dynamic, innovative and ever-evolving industry.
I’m now beginning to study for my CIM qualification, to do so alongside my role here at Crush, in the hopes of further elevating my knowledge of the sector. This is a level of learning that will enable me to think of marketing in a more strategic and theoretical manner, as opposed to a reactive approach.
You can take a look at my LinkedIn profile here and feel free to join my network!”
